Dieta

Please note that we have recently updated the Dieta pages, this is alignment with our own personal journey and the insights and information we have received, and now practice, with food.

To prepare your body for the ceremony it is important that you follow a specific diet removing strong flavours and specific ingredients. This in effect detoxes the body and ensures that you spend your time in ceremony purging old trauma and healing wounds instead of just clearing out food with heavier vibrations.

Following a strict diet not only prepares the body but it shows your serious intent to want to heal.

The Dieta starts seven days prior to your first night of ceremony. It is suggested to also adhere to the diet for up to for 3 days after the ceremony.

What can I eat

We now suggest several options for the Dieta:

1) Primary we encourage the Carnivore way of Eating. If you are on a Carnivore diet we encourage you to stick to this way of eating. If you are interested in this way of eating please ensure you begin this at least two weeks prior to ceremony as the conversion stage during the first week can be quite exhausting. Please feel free to contact us for more information if this is something you would like to consider.

2) Keto Diet is a balanced diet where you remove all grains and sugars from the your meals. This includes all root vegetables, pastas and rices. Once again if you are not already on a strict Keto diet we suggest starting at least two weeks prior to ceremony.

3) A standard healthy diet of vegetables and white meats such as as chicken and fish. We would encourage you to remove once again all root vegetables, pastas and rices. Begin 7 days prior to ceremony.

4) Vegetarian or Vegan diets are also fine but we do suggest you cut out all vegetable and carb sugars to the best of your ability. Begin 7 days prior to ceremony.

On the day of the ritual, we now encourage people to not fast but to eat well up until 12 noon. It is important to have some sustenance for the night ahead. Please do not eat after 12 noon as it is important to have at least seven hours with no food prior to ceremony. It is obviously fine to still take on liquids.

Foods / consumables to avoid

  • Microwaved food, processed food, fermented products (yogurt, sauerkraut, soy sauce, pickles, miso etc.);

  • Yeast containing products;

  • Coffee, chocolate, all alcohol

  • Overly ripe (if they are going black) bananas and avocados, all beans (lentils are ok), any supplements or protein drinks containing the amino acid "Tryamine".

  • Avoid sugar and salt.

  • Avoid all hot spices plus "firey foods" such as chillis, ginger and onion which should be avoided. Use fresh herbs instead for flavour.

  • All narcotics, antihistamines or analgesics and ephedrine (found in some herbal stimulants, cold remedies and often in Chinese herbal remedies).

  • Marijuana as this can prevent full immersion with the medicine

Should you find yourself getting really stuck with the food we highly recommend the wonderful cookbook "Cooking with the Madre" from Amazon by Fiona Johnson. All recipes in the book (unless indicated) are suitable for ceremony.

Any Person On Prescription Drugs Will NOT Be Able To Partake In The Ceremony. If you are uncertain please talk to us before booking a ceremonial space.

Ideally, to obtain optimum health and nutrition for your Being, you would consider dropping some if not most of the above 'food' items for good!

Your task is not to seek love, but merely to seek and find the barriers within yourself you have built against it

Further Preparation

Because the 'tea' detoxifies both mind and body, it is best to be as clean as possible before you drink.

  • Refrain from reading newspapers, hearing radio news or watching TV etc. on the day of the session and for as many days before as works for you. Avoid violent films, video games and anything that entails excessive violence on the week prior.

  • We also urge abstinence from sexual activity for at least 3 days prior to the ceremony, continuing for a few days afterwards. This is a need to conserve dynamic sexual energy for investment in the ceremony, enabling one to focus more purely on the spiritual and curative dimensions of the ceremony.

  • To prepare the mind; for several days prior to the ceremony, avoid situations that generate negative emotions or stress. Practice calming the mind with meditation, yoga, nature walks, ta'i-chi, qi gong, hot baths etc. Avoid TV, bad movies, shopping malls....any of the myriad spiritual and psychic toxins of mass culture. Bring to a close any work that remains unfinished and, if possible, resolve conflicts in your relationship so that your mind can be as free of these burdens and distractions as possible.

  • Most people find that clearly setting intentions is extremely helpful Consider carefully what you hope to learn from the experience. What are the problem areas of your life you'd like to work on? What kind of knowledge and healing are you seeking? Think honestly about your purpose. Your intentions will help to guide you through the experience and can deepen and enrich your learning. We will also set some intentions for the group and share these just before ceremony.

All of these Guidelines can assist you in having a more beneficial, meaningful and enjoyable experience. Do not worry if your sleep patterns change the week before, it is normal that with the change of diet and the forthcoming ceremony a lot of internal energies begin to shift. Many report that they find themselves wide awake in the middle of the night and therefore sleep a lot less. You may also experience intense dreams.

This is a private healing space. You are here because you are a friend. We therefore appreciate you not sharing the website with others. Please direct any referrals to us by email. Thank you for keeping our container safe and secure. Namaste.
